How to Overcome Fear of Change and the Unknown
when we think about our future, we need to be willing to take risks to get where we want to be in life
Change should not be seen as a bad turn in life, even if it appears unexpectedly. People tend to cling to the unknown and not let go and therefore make themselves more afraid of change than it is necessary.
We are often burdened by our resistance to the new, not by the process of change, but by the process where we don’t know how it will affect our lives in the future or how the change will take place.
The internal struggle against change creates fear and anxiety, so for the most part of the change, we feel tired and anxious. But there is one thing to always remember — we always adapt and when we can slowly see the benefits and the positives in the unknown everything else just seems so back in the future, there is no fear of the unknown anymore.
Worst Case Scenario
Due to negativity, prejudice, or simply the habit of imagining any situation in its worst-case scenario, we are already prone to experiencing the emotions that are likely to be experienced as a result of the change.
This, in turn, causes anxiety and resistance at a time when life is “passing” unexpected and sudden changes. If a person succumbs to worries and fears the risk of accepting any new situation, the internal anxiety will continue to grow and the avoidance…
