During this global pandemic, working from home became the new normal overnight. And for the most part, people were delighted to have that opportunity and a chance. But for some, it came with uncertainties and more stress.
Not knowing what to expect and not knowing the end date of this madness was stressful and scary. And it still is, we still have rules to follow, and there is still no end date. But if we put our mindset towards succeeding and know what we can implement in daily life to manage things, working from home can positively affect us.
When working from home, it is essential to remember not to confuse the work environment with the usual family and leisure environment. Creating a routine where nothing will stop you from focusing on your job can help reduce confusion.
There should be nothing in this place that can distract you from working. There should be a dedicated place for working, either a separate room or desk in the living room — a dedicated space where you can feel most productive.
At the same time, the workplace must also be such that you enjoy working in it. I know it can be tough to figure it out, but it is essential to do so. Try one thing and if it is not working for you, try another one until you find the right one.
